Property Manager (Bi-lingual - English and Spanish)

Section 8, CityFHEPS & Subsidized Housing


100% Remote | Reports to Operations Manager | Performance-Driven Role


We are hiring a Property Manager / Remote (Bilingual – English & Spanish) to oversee residential rental properties with a strong focus on Section 8, CityFHEPS, and other city, state, and federal housing assistance programs.


This is a fully remote position. While you will report directly to an Operations Manager, success in this role depends on your ability to work independently, stay organized, and consistently meet performance expectations in a remote environment.


This role requires patience, empathy, discipline, and a genuine passion for helping people, as you will be working closely with tenants who rely on housing assistance programs.



Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day property operations 100% remotely

  • Serve as primary point of contact for tenants in subsidized housing programs

  • Handle documentation, renewals, certifications, and inspections for:

    • Section 8

    • CityFHEPS

    • Other city, state, and federal housing programs

  • Communicate with housing authorities, inspectors, vendors, and tenants

  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs through approved vendors

  • Track deadlines, inspections, and compliance items independently

  • Maintain accurate, organized tenant and property files

  • Provide regular reporting and updates to the Operations Manager



Performance Metrics (KPIs)

Performance in this role will be measured by the following Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Inspection pass rate (Section 8 / CityFHEPS / subsidized housing programs)

  • Average response time to tenant and housing authority inquiries

  • Compliance accuracy and documentation completeness

  • On-time completion of renewals, certifications, and re-certifications

  • Maintenance resolution turnaround time

  • Tenant satisfaction and professionalism in communication

  • File accuracy, organization, and audit readiness

  • Consistency and quality of reporting to Operations Manager



Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish (required)

  • Highly self-disciplined and self-motivated

  • Strong ability to work independently in a remote environment

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Proactive communicator with strong follow-up

  • High level of patience, empathy, and emotional intelligence

  • Professional and calm when handling sensitive tenant situations



Preferred Experience

  • Residential property management experience

  • Experience working with Section 8, CityFHEPS, NYCHA, HPD, HRA, HUD, or other housing assistance programs

  • Minimum of 2 years of office-related experience

  • Proven experience handling large volumes of paperwork, documentation, and compliance files

  • Strong ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously

  • Backgrounds in property administration, housing coordination, social services, or administrative roles with heavy documentation
